Hydrogen sample preview is distorted, button too small for translated label

Description

Don't know, if this is a 64bit-Bug. Maybe someoone with a 32bit-system can confirm this. If I want to open a new sample file in Hydrogen's instrument editor and mark it the first time, the preview plays the sample four times in a short sequence (which sounds awful and doesn't help finding the right sample). Pressing the "Play sample" button, the sample is played like expected. BTW: The "Play sample button is too small for showing the german translation "Sample abspielen" but this is not that important.

Hi Mitsch, I can't replicate this with a random file (say: /usr/share/sounds/ekiga/voicemail.wav). What file format is the sample that causes the error? Could you email me an example?

  • summary changed from Hydrogen plays samples too often in preview to Hydrogen sample preview is distorted, button too small for translated label.

I've tried the flac file, I was able to hear it as expected if I only clicked once in the file manager. If I double-clicked, it played twice, but overlaid like a short reverb. I can confirm the file manager sounds worse than the 'play sample' button; the file preview adds gain, which causes distortion if the sample peaks close to 0dBFS.

Quickest fix for the label - shortern the German translation to a consistent length with other translations?
