Possible kernel regression with high jackd sample rates in 32-bit version

Reported by: daniel@… Owned by: free
Priority: normal Milestone: 2.0
Component: packages Version: 1.0
Severity: normal Keywords: xruns
Cc: dick@…

Description

Dick Wright (dick at wright-home demon co uk) found serious xruns in 32-bit build of 1.0 and 1.2.0 using an M-Audio 24/96 Audiophile. A/DeMuDi with Linux 2.6.14 has no such problems on the same machine.

Occasional xruns were evident at 44.1kHz but jackd failed to run at 88.2 kHz, failing on its watchdog with hundreds of xruns. Bug needs further investigation.

Does the bug still hold on 64 Studio 1.3.0 with kernel 2.6.19?

Kernel 2.6.21-2 is now available in the testing branch, we should check this bug against it. Anyone with a similar setup willing to test?
