Package LiVES for Debian

Description

The LiVES dependency Mplayer is now in Debian unstable, but LiVES does not have a Debian package, see:

http://lives.sourceforge.net/

We should create a Debian package as a first step to testing LiVES on 64 Studio. Debian's Mplayer package depends on patent-encumbered libmad, so we would need to distribute custom Mplayer package.

There's lives package in Marillat's repository, but it depends on mjpegtools, which is not in Debian, I suspect to to legal issues.

However Ubuntu does distribute it:

http://packages.ubuntu.com/dapper/graphics/mjpegtools

so I guess it could be legal for us as well. I'm wondering why Debian is not shipping it then..

mjpegtools definitely includes an mpeg encoder, so our lives package needs to be built without a dependency on it. In the meantime we can try Marillat's version using the Debian package of mplayer. If it works OK, we can then build a lives package and upload it to Debian.
