Description

By version 1.0 we need a script which prompts users when security and bugfix updates become available. It should not change the system without user consent.

We could have a script called something like 64studio-fixme which only fetches security and bugfix updates for the stable release, while 64studio-upgrade is used for following development, and upgrading to subsequent major releases.

What about using update-manager for that?

The default APT sources are now Debian/etch Debian/etch-security and 64Studio/stable, so as long as the user doesn't touch them update-manager will show only the updates coming from Debian/etch-security (as Debian/etch and 64Studio/stable don't change over the time).

Furthermore if the 64Studio/testing APT source is, then active update-manager can be used to install the testing updates as well, which would be nice.

Yes, let's add update-manager to the base install, and test it.
